I installed the telemtry transmitter TM1000 with the altimeter module on my Blade 350QX using velcro for the receiver and a piece of clear packaging tape for the module and receiver attenna. I used a short servo lead to connect the receiver through the landing skid port and plugged it into one of the the gimbal axis connections. I then binded the two together and now I have an altitiude reading of my quad copter on my transmitter. I will attempt to mount the telemtry transmitter inside the nose of the 350QX and add a battery voltage and temperature sensors.

I am wondering if anyone has had problems with getting the gps to link & staying linked with the GOPRO camera on. Question
What is the maximum battery intensity (mAh) can I put on the 350QX
would it increase teh flight time or power a lot?

for instance, I have the walkera hoten-x, suppose to fly with a very small 100mAh battery. I put instead a 2200-2400 mah battery, and now it's a ROCKET, so fast so explosive and dynamic, can even lift my mobile phone, still with crazy power.

Woud it be the same with the 350 qx if it put a 3000 or 4000 mAh battery?
Is it ok for controller, circuits etc?

best regards

The Mah is the capacity of the battery, sort of like the fuel tank in your vehicle. The size of the tank doesn't affect the performance of the engine(s) Therefore if you can get a larger Mah of the same voltage to fit in the battery compartment, go ahead and use it!

Most GPS receivers are only accurate to about 3 meters and those are usually the higher end very expensive ones. 1 to 2 feet is very good and if you expect it to land exactly where it took off from, you will be disappointed. You could also try calibrate the accelerometer, that is suppose to help if the 350 QX has a hard time finding the home position.

The motors will not start until the rate switch is in the high position. You switch to low rates by flipping the switch you assigned for dual rates. You need to lower the low rudder dual rate setting down until it pirouettes at the speed you prefer.

Yes on mine it has. Here is what I did to fix the problem.
1.) Turn you camer upside down and don't forget to change your camera setting.
2.) I then made a Faraday Cage out of 2 layers of aluminum foil to shield the camer from the 350QX
This will block any remot wifi with the camera and IPad 2 and on my unit even if the camera wifi is off the GOPRO will interfer with the GPS and caused the 350QX act eratically until I did the above fix. I have emailed Horizon / Blade about that problem.

350qx's purchased within the last few weeks should have the new "b" props and do not require replacing. you can verify the prop version by looking at the prop top hub center. new props should have a "b" molded into to hub. if not "b" props horizon has a replacement prop request form that requires submitting to horizon support.

yes. I used the youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4ijx-UYj60. I would advise to make the throttle cut up on the right (G) like you would find in a collective pitch heli. Be sure to be familiar with your switches before your first flight so you don't inadvertently shut your 350 down while flying.

Good Luck!

The air is thinner the higher you go.....
At 4000 FT ASL VS Sea Level the air is definitively thinner...if you were in charge of flying a 747 with 300 people on board.... short runway and hot temperatures.... Full tanks of fuel....
VERY IMPORTANT !!! .....

Flying a NANO QX ???.... NO PROBLEM !!!
