Question
Is there somewhere to get help programming a radio other than a Spektrum for this Blade 350QX? Like JR?
Hello. I just purchased this Blade 350QX and own a JR11X radio. There is nothing in the manual about how to program any radio other than Spektrum radios. A little help programming the modes would be great.

Your Spectrum 6i should remember the bind. Remember to put all of your trims at neutral and hold the throtel at the lowest position when you turn on your 350QX. Then with your throtel trim press it up 2 times you should herar your 350QX beap. Also it takes mine at least 60 seconds or more to link to the GPS and only then will the status lite stop blinking. Good Luck

Yes on mine it has. Here is what I did to fix the problem.
1.) Turn you camer upside down and don't forget to change your camera setting.
2.) I then made a Faraday Cage out of 2 layers of aluminum foil to shield the camer from the 350QX
This will block any remot wifi with the camera and IPad 2 and on my unit even if the camera wifi is off the GOPRO will interfer with the GPS and caused the 350QX act eratically until I did the above fix. I have emailed Horizon / Blade about that problem.
Good Luck

Question
Will there be Camera Mounts available for other branded Action Cams?
I have a Sony Action Cam HDR-AS30V that uses a "Universal Tripod Mount" type of connection on all of its mounts and the mounts all seem to use that single threaded hole and two guide pins like a tripod. It would be really nice to see a "Universal Tripod Mount" compatible mounting system for this wonderful quad rather than having rig one up somehow.

Question
Arm QX 350 with DX6i
Just bought this great quadcopter with a DX6i. Every thing seems tor work fine, but i cant arm the motors after it has initialized and found gps signal. I can change between the three flightmodes, but i cant arm it - Anyone know about this ? The rudder left/right dosent give anything. So I have heard some beeping & changed color of flightmode, but still no flight :-(

Im not sure if you saw this part in the manual but you must set the throttle subtim up 15-20 percent for the DX6i (which i still own), then make sure your in high rates and thats when you can do the rudder left to right to start. Also make sure all other subtrimms are 0 and all other trims are set to 0.

Hope this helps

I had the same problem (it is mentioned in the manual, but kind of hard to find). Make sure you have all trims centered to begin with. Then, when you are ready to fly, adjust the throttle trim up 2-3 clicks. You should hear a beep. Once you hear the beep, do the left-right sweep of the rudder and it should start spinning up.

I had exactly the same problem, and after talking with product support (very good), If you are using a DX6i, you will need to move the throttle trim two positions up (I don't know why) but it worked for the first try. BUT, at the second try, even with the T. trim up didn't work and then I realized that moving the D/R switches to 1 position and then back, it always works. Remember to leave the T trim 2 positions up always. Good luck!

One thing the manuel that comes with the unit doesn't tell you clearly is that all trim needs to be in neutral position and that after the status lite starts blinking you need to take your throtel trim and click increase twice and wait for the beep then take your throtel lever hold it down at lowest position and at the same time move it from right to left then your motors should start running.

I hope this helped I was having the same problem.

Hello JohnQ,

I highly recommend getting the DX6i transmitter to fly the 350 QX. It will be an investment that will last you for a while and give you the flexibility to adjust parameters to fit your flying style.

It is not recommended using video-streaming WiFi on the 350QX. WiFi may saturate the 2.4 GHz band and cause undesirable performance.
Use of the GoPros included included remote is fine.

Question
Can the red and white lights be reversed - front to back?
I noticed on the flight videos, that there are red and white lights on the front and back for navigation. It appears the 'red' lights are in the front for forward flight, while the white lights are in the rear. I think it would be better if the white lights are in the front for forward flight, and the red lights in the rear. Can this be changed?

The receiver is a actually a 2in1 mother board. That is also a problem, because it uses a simple short a single antenna, which makes the range quite short, making it not very useful for long-ish range FPV.

The manuel states 45 meters or about 148 feet, but I wouldn't take it that high what most people don't realize is the winds that high can be much higher than at ground level and take you heli out of range of your control.

I installed the telemtry transmitter TM1000 with the altimeter module on my Blade 350QX using velcro for the receiver and a piece of clear packaging tape for the module and receiver attenna. I used a short servo lead to connect the receiver through the landing skid port and plugged it into one of the the gimbal axis connections. I then binded the two together and now I have an altitiude reading of my quad copter on my transmitter. I will attempt to mount the telemtry transmitter inside the nose of the 350QX and add a battery voltage and temperature sensors.

I wouldn't think there is with the standard landing gear because on mine the camera is about 1/2" off the ground, however I just viewed a video on youtube where they added a round foam pontoon to the gear and it looked like it added about 2" to the height that should give you room to design a gimbal to fit.
